BIOMAX wastewater treatment plants

BIOMAX entered the wastewater treatment plant market based on personal needs. We were looking for a high-end plant with the right aesthetic appearance and good value for money. Realising that we could simplify our lives and the lives of our customers, after years of experience in the manufacture of wastewater treatment plants, we carefully selected raw materials and reliable suppliers.

We have also selected the highest quality components, developed a new generation of plants that incorporate a long-standing technology that has been in operation for more than 40 years, based on research, development and life experience.

This vertical flow technology has already earned the trust of customers. It has been installed in 22 countries around the world, and this number is growing. It efficiently removes phosphorus and nitrogen and meets the stricter requirements that came into force in Lithuania and Europe in November 2019. As our needs grow and environmental requirements become more stringent, the BIOMAX plant can be continuously improved and adapted to new circumstances.

Our plants are easy and inexpensive to install: standard installation takes one working day, no additional vents above the ground are required, no reinforced concrete bottom is required. The plants have low running costs, are noise and odour free and are suitable for small plots. In addition, all BIOMAX wastewater treatment plants comply not only with the strict requirements of the European Union (CE marking), but also with the exclusive and even stricter requirements of other countries.

Each unit is equipped with a grate, so that any insoluble substances that enter are trapped and will not interfere with the further treatment process, and the treated water can be reused. The larger bioreactor chambers ensure less frequent pumping of excess sludge and a higher efficiency of wastewater treatment, so you can use a wide range of household chemicals and discard toilet paper.

Wastewater treatment plant technology

A BIOMAX wastewater treatment plant consists of a biological reactor with an internal technological structure. The entire wastewater treatment process takes place in a single polypropylene tank. The system treats wastewater biologically using a heterogeneous activated sludge suspension.

The treatment technology incorporates all the most advanced extended aeration activated sludge processes, including nitrification, denitrification, phosphorus removal, nitrogen removal, sludge thickening, and filtration through a sinking bed, in one compact tank. In the reactor, all zones are interconnected by lower and upper overflow openings and an internal recirculation system. The mixing, circulation and recirculation of the activated sludge mixture is carried out by the air supply of the blower, which is the only electrical appliance in the system.

The treated water is discharged through a pipe located at an appropriate height in the secondary settling zone. A plastic tee is placed on the outlet pipe to trap any fine inorganic material and/or parts thereof that enter the secondary settling zone, thus ensuring that they do not escape from the treatment plant.
